Symptoms for Honda accord 2008 Stalling Problem, No Codes

The 2008 Honda Accord 2008 stalling problem of my sister is acting up! When started, it will quit after a few seconds. She bought the car from the dealer and was running fine until this week. Using my generic scanner, there is no codes. Reading the Honda Accord 2008 service manual, the security or anti-theft light is not staying on the dash. My sister told me she had an oil and filter changed at a local speedy oil garage lately because the dealer is too far.
Diagnostics for Honda Accord 2008 Stalling Problem
One quick way to analyze this problem is to check the dash panel lights:
1.) If the security or anti-theft system is an issue, the green key light indicator will blink after start up but quit right away. If the light does not quit, then the security system is bad.
2.) The check engine light (cel) usually lit when started but should quit within 2-10 seconds. If the light stays then the electronics system is suspect. Otherwise, the sensors and engine components are OK but sometimes there are exceptions if the problem is starting to act up or border line.
If the dash panel lights are verified OK, I would check the MAF sensor quickly by disconnecting and see if the stalling remains. This is a common problem specially if the sensor has not been serviced in the last little while. A lot of times, a dirty air filter or poor quality aftermarket filter can allow dirt to contaminate the air filter.
Final Fix for Honda Accord 2008 Stalling Problem.
When the MAF sensor was disconnected, the stalling stops which suggest, the sensor is bad. Installed new MAF sensor and problem is gone. She is now driving it for a week and promised to take it to the dealer instead of the local garage after I told her about using cheap aftermarket air filter.
Thanks!
