Question:

This vehicle above has A CODE P0171 and caused the check engine light to come on. Reset code and replaced the TPS sensor and was road tested giving the same results. I tested the vacuum leak using a carb cleaner but no leaks were found. I am now contemplating of changing the mass sensor but would like to ask your opinion before I do so. Thanks!

Before attempting to replace the mass sensor try cleaning the wire element first and reset the code again. If no change occurs, you next best shot are to have the engine smoke so you can find minute vacuum leak. Carb cleaner just don’t work anymore especially in an engine like this where it does not leave you any room to work. Once you established that the vacuum leak is not present, then go ahead and replace the mass sensor.
